Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Julio Enciso has admitted he is very happy to have compatriot Diego Gomez alongside him at the club.

Gomez arrived at Brighton in a €13m move from Inter Miami in the January transfer window after impressing for them in MLS after arriving from Libertad in Paraguay in 2023.
He’s yet to fully establish himself at the club, making just a handful of appearances so far as Brighton integrate him into their team slowly.
He was handed his first start this week in the 2-1 win over Bournemouth and did not disappoint, putting in an impressive performance in the middle of the park that earned him plenty of plaudits afterwards.
Both he and Brighton will be hoping that is the start of more to come from the 21-year-old, who is very much a signing for the future as they continue their efforts to sign talent for the future.
Enciso, who is currently on loan at Ipswich, certainly didn’t miss compatriots big debut and is confident he’ll be a success for the Seagulls.
“I’m very happy with my little brother. We’ve talked a lot. When he came here, I’ve always talked to everyone,” he said.
“Diego and I, as Paraguayans, always have something more in us. When we’re on the same level, we always get something out of it.
“I’m very happy with him. He’s played a great game for me. He’s one of the best. I hope he continues to do so and that he can continue to achieve his dreams.”
