For the past few days, we’ve seen a growing number of claims that multiple clubs are interested in Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri.

The young Uruguayan finally made his debut for the Red Devils in the win over Charlton, and immediately showcased his talent by picking up an assist.

This immediately led to stories of clubs wanting him on loan, with teams in Brazil, Spain and Italy, as well as England, all coming forward.

Well, it appears Manchester United aren’t overly interested in any of this, as César Luis Merlo took to Twitter on Friday to explain the Premier League club ‘held a meeting with the agent’ of the player and told him that ‘the intention is that he stays’.

He then adds that ‘there will be a new chat next week’, but it seems ‘difficult that anything changes’.

This is backed up by Brazilian journalist Raisa Simplicio, who also took to Twitter to divulge the talks, but ‘Ten Hag said he’s counting on him’.

Because of this, the player’s agents ‘want a contractual revaluation’ following the interest of clubs, his appearances at the World Cup and that he’s now clearly a valued member of the squad.

If Manchester United don’t give him that, then the idea is that ‘they will keep trying to leave so he can play more’.
