Four days ago, WP SportoweFakty reported Brighton & Hove Albion are ‘very interested’ in Pogoń Szczecin’s Kacper Kozłowski. The Seagulls are now joined by Manchester City in the chase for one of the brightest talents in Poland.
That’s according to TVP Sport, who claim Citizens scouts have watched the 18-year-old in action on several occasions this season.
It’s even claimed the Premier League winners are ‘tempted’ by the Poland international’s displays, so much so that, they are willing to pay over €10m to Pogoń Szczecin to secure his services.
Pogoń Szczecin have neither made anything official on City’s interest nor do club sources want to confirm Pep Guardiola’s side are willing to make an offer for Kozłowski. They, however, are ‘affirmative’ when asked if Manchester City scouts have watched the teenager in action.
The report explains the English champions’ have monitored him ‘several times’.
Brighton paid €11m to Lech Poznań for Jakub Moder and it was the record sale in the Ekstraklasa. TVP Sport say ‘it will be realistic’ for Kozłowski’s sale to beat Moder’s current record.
The deal could be formalised in January and the player could move to his new club next summer. It remains to be seen whether it will be with City, Brighton or another side.
