After completing the signing of Nahuel Bustos last summer, Manchester City immediately sent him out on loan to Girona.
The forward managed only four goals and three assists in all competitions last season and he’s set to rejoin the LaLiga 2 side on another loan deal in the ongoing window.
That’s according to AS, who say the 23-year-old is ‘scheduled to arrive today’ to join the Spanish club.
Girona and the Citizens are both owned by the City Football Group and the former have signed 15 players from the Etihad club on loan since the start of the 2015/16 season.
It’s claimed the Premier League winners have been an ‘inexhaustible source of transfers’ for the Segunda División side.
The newspaper further points out that Bustos won’t be the last City player to join Girona on a loan deal this summer because Míchel’s side have had an agreement in place for weeks with Pep Guardiola’s side to sign Darío Sarmiento.
Earlier in April, Estudiantes confirmed to have reached agreement with City for Sarmiento’s transfer and he was set to arrive at the Etihad at the start of this month.
Bustos failed to shine for Girona last season and it remains to be seen whether it will be different this time around.
