Marca sound a little down in the dumps when it comes to covering potential signings for Real Madrid in the January transfer window.

Zinedine Zidane’s side aren’t having the best start to the season, although some of the Spanish media reaction would make the ‘crisis’ seem far bigger than it actually is.

Despite the emergence of Fede Valverde and all the hype around the Uruguayan youngster, it’s thought Los Blancos need to sign a midfielder in January, and Marca consider Christian Eriksen as such.

The Tottenham player has been repeatedly linked with a move to Madrid, and there’s been plenty of articles about a possible bargain purchase in January or a free move next summer.

On Friday, Marca look at Madrid’s transfer options and when it comes to Eriksen it’s perhaps not the news the Spurs star will want to hear.

Zidane ‘stopped his arrival’ in the last transfer market and ‘will do so again’ in the winter window.

Unless the manager changes his opinion, or is overruled, then Eriksen’s best hope of a move to Madrid is that the Frenchman loses his job.
