Italian newspaper Tuttosport is pretty sure that former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri will be on his way to the Premier League very soon. They’re just not sure about which club he’ll be taking charge of.
Earlier today, we covered all the claims which point Manchester United as a possible destination, with negotiations said to be taking place. But Tottenham Hotspur are being taken very seriously as well.
Tuttosport writes that Mauricio Pochettino’s situation at Spurs is the same as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s at the Red Devils. And if the Old Trafford side take too long to give Allegri a contract, then a good offer could bring Allegri to London.
It’s claimed that Allegri has been taking English classes for a while, and things got more ‘intense’ lately. The manager wants to take his new job as soon as possible, so he will have time to save the season of whoever he takes charge of.
Tuttosport adds that it’s ‘no coincidence’ that Patrice Evra posted a picture of him at Tottenham Stadium alongside Franco Baldini, who’s Roma’s advisor and ‘very close to Spurs’.
Meanwhile, Juventus hope the manager gets a new position as soon as possible, so they can stop paying the remaining salary on his contract.
