With Massimiliano Allegri and Mario Mandzukic being heavily linked to Manchester United in the past couple of weeks, it’s time to talk about the possibility of them moving to Old Trafford together.

Tuttosport brings a story about it today. After claiming that the manager could soon be heading to the Premier League side, the Croatian international could meet him there.

They worked together at Juventus from 2015 to 2019, until the manager left the club last summer. Mandzukic made 162 appearances under him, scoring 44 goals.

The newspaper writes that things would be ‘easier’ if Allegri arrives at Manchester United first, especially because he wants the job as soon as possible.

But Tuttosport makes it clear that Mandzukic’s move does not depend on Allegri. The striker has been in negotiations with Manchester United for a long time, and has already rejected a move to Qatar so he can join the Red Devils in January.

The outlet adds that another player who could move to Manchester is Emre Can. The midfielder isn’t happy at being left out of the Champions League squad, and could follow his old boss. However, there are no details about any kind of negotiations for his move.
