Inter’s talks to sign Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United had important developments in the past few days, according to FC Inter News.
The website claims the club’s new boss, Antonio Conte, has been in touch with the striker and has now ‘convinced’ him to move to the nerazzurri.
Inter are said to have a pre-agreement with the player, being set to pay him €7.5m per season on a five-year contract.
The problem for the Italian side now is to find a deal with Manchester United, who are said to be demanding €70m for the sale.
FC Inter News say the Serie A side’s first move was to offer €30m plus Ivan Perisic, but that didn’t get United very excited, as was reported by Gazzetta dello Sport earlier this week.
If a player is included in this deal, the Red Devils would prefer it to be Milan Skriniar.
Inter, however, aren’t even considering adding the defender in the negotiations, as they want to keep him in the squad.
Either way, as the negotiations go on, it looks like the Belgian international is ready to leave Old Trafford this summer.
