Two Portuguese newspapers report on Tuesday morning that Victor Lindelof to Manchester United is pretty much a sure thing.
Record say the Swedish defender will be trained by Jose Mourinho from early January onward, after Benfica were happy to accept a proposal from Manchester United. Luís Filipe Vieira was said to have listened to a Manchester United proposal which reaches up to €45m, and was satisfied with the figures.
The newspaper claim that Jose Mourinho’s desire to sign Lindelof has convinced Manchester United to propose the €45m package, despite the player’s release clause being €30m.
On the release clause and the history of the rumour, it’s worth reading what we covered on Monday.

Over at A Bola it’s claimed Lindelof is close to becoming the biggest transfer in the history of Benfica, which would mean Manchester United paying more upfront than Bayern Munich did for Renato Sanches.
The defender is said to be ‘on the way’ to Manchester United. Not literally.
A Bola say Vieira finalised the agreement in England, and state that Lindelof ‘leaves in January for €45m’.
