On June 13th, we relayed news from France that Manchester United are still in the race for Tanguy Ndombele.
It was also explained the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham and Juventus are also in the picture to sign the Lyon star.
Soccer Link now claims the Red Devils and Juve have a ‘contractual agreement’ with the 22-year-old and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side even ‘formulated’ a proposal of €60m for the France international.
However, the offer will ‘not be sufficient’ to acquire the player’s services because Lyon are demanding €90m to sanction his sale in the summer transfer window.
The report states the potential suitors, including Manchester United, will have to submit an offer that is close to what the French club are demanding, partly because Ndombele is not in a hurry to leave his current employer.
Even though Ndombele’s desire is to play abroad, Soccer Link states he will not force a move away from Lyon.
Therefore, it is difficult for United and other clubs to sign Ndombele, unless and until their offer gets closer to Lyon’s asking price.
