Manchester City defender Florian Lejeune has plenty of offers for this summer, according to reports from Spanish newspaper AS on Monday.
The newspaper claims that the player, who spent the last season on loan at Girona, will not stay at the Spanish club any longer, and they are already planning a new defensive line without counting on him.
AS say that Eibar are in the lead to sign the 25-year-old. They’ve already made an attempt to make the transfer last summer, when Lejeune belonged to Villareal, but City have outbid them.
Monday’s article seems to be an update on a story we covered last week, when it was claimed that €1.5m should be enough to buy the defender from Manchester City.
Lejeune never seemed to be a signing for Manchester City’s level and it would be no surprise to see the player leaving before even debuting for the club.
AS don’t say if any of the interested clubs are from the Premier League, and they actually only mention Eibar’s name as the likely destination.
