Italian outlet Calcio Mercato today has some updates on the situation of Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni.
They say the defender is highly rated by manager Antonio Conte, and that’s why the Nerazzurri are working hard to keep him at the club.
But it should be a big challenge for the Serie A side, since Manchester City and Barcelona are both said to be interested in the player.
It’s claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side have been following him with scouts in several games, whilst the Catalan club have made an approach for him.
Still, Calcio Mercato are pretty confident that Bastoni will be signing a new contract with Inter Milan. He’s expected to earn three times what he makes on his current contract with the club, so it’s a big jump for the 20 year old.
The outlet considers it to be a ‘matter of time’ until he extends his deal. Until signs it, and perhaps even after, the interest from Manchester City and other European giants will continue.
