Kyle Walker has a year left on his contract at the Etihad and claims in England have stated Manchester City want to offer him a new deal.

Last Friday, Sky Deutschland reported the right-back has a verbal agreement in place with Bayern Munich to join them in the summer window.

Another report from Sky Deutschland now explains the ‘next steps’ of the operation to bring the Manchester City star to the Allianz Arena.

After agreeing a deal with Bayern until 2025, it’s claimed the 33-year-old would like to personally inform Pep Guardiola about his desire to leave the Citizens on Tuesday.

It’s stated Thomas Tuchel’s side ‘want to start negotiations’ with the treble winners over a deal for the England international this week and the two clubs are expecting to negotiate a deal for around €15m plus bonuses.

Sky point out Bayern are unlikely to find a total agreement with Manchester City before they travel to Asia for their pre-season tour on July 24th.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is a ‘big fan’ of Walker and sees him as an ‘optimal choice’ for the right-back/right wing-back position.
