Jorge Mendes really wants Nicolas Otamendi to go to Real Madrid at some point in his career.

We say this because an article appeared back in 2017 claiming the super agent had offered the Argentine’s services to the La Liga giants, to no avail, and he’s now allegedly done so again.

This time, the news comes from Fichajes.com, who claim the Manchester City defender’s services were presented to those within the Real Madrid offices, as the 31-year-old looks to find himself a club where he can play a bit more than he has done this season.

Starting just 38% of Premier League games this year, the Argentina international has only played a little bit more than Vincent Kompany, as Pep Guardiola appears to edge towards the younger partnership of John Stones and Aymeric Laporte.

This is why a search for a new landing spot has started, but Fichajes explain a move to Real Madrid is very unlikely.

The website state the La Liga giants ‘do not value’ the potential acquisition of Otamendi for the time being, as Zidane still has Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane at his disposal, as well as Eder Militao on his way from Porto.

As for Nacho’s replacement, should the Spaniard leave, Real Madrid are said to be looking at other options than Otamendi.
