It’s been reported this week that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the signing of Jovane Cabral from Sporting.
Claims from the English media said there are talks going on between the two clubs for the 22-year-old’s transfer.
But as the Portuguese press covers it today, they don’t seem very confident that the chase from José Mourinho’s side exists.
Newspaper Record writes that even though the manager knows the Sporting winger, this transfer isn’t in Tottenham’s plans for the market. The outlet learned that Spurs have other targets for the transfer window.
Record points out that Sporting aren’t even planning to let Jovane leave the club this year, but since there are clubs from England and Germany who’ve been interested in him, a good offer could end up convincing them of a sale.
That means something above €20m.
Jovane had six goals and three assists in 21 appearances for the Lions last season, and is protected by a release clause of €60m.
