Fiorentina have been urged to overtake Everton and sign Duvan Zapata on loan from Atalanta this month.
Everton have been heavily linked with a move for Zapata this month as they desperately look for a new striker in the final week of the transfer window.
The Colombian has been named as one of the possible options for them, with several reports in Italy and England making it clear they were exploring the possibility of a loan deal until the end of the season.
Whether that is a deal that can be done remains to be seen, with the initial reports not followed by anything substantial as yet.
That is presumably because of Everton’s decision to sack Frank Lampard, with the uncertainty over the next manager meaning transfers are harder to get over the line.
That leaves the door open for other clubs to get their targets and Angelo Giorgetti believes Fiorentina should be doing just that.
“Market? I wouldn’t close the doors to the arrival of possible reinforcements,” Viola News report him saying.
“It was a session without planning, the management will keep their eyes open in the last two days for bargains.
“I personally would try to get Duvan Zapata, who is leaving Atalanta and could leave, heading to Everton, on loan with the right of redemption.”
