Liverpool ‘very interested’ in versatile defender – Club will ‘start with a request of €40m’ when the time comes

If there is one area of the pitch that Liverpool need to address in the near future, it’s their midfield, and Jürgen Klopp knows this.

The recent performance against Brighton & Hove Albion only emphasised some of the gaps in his squad, which is why a player like Giorgio Scalvini could go a long way.

The defender, who can also play in midfield in front of the defence, would be the ideal tool for the German manager to kill two birds with one stone, which is why it isn’t surprising to hear the Reds are ‘very interested’ in him.
