Portuguese newspaper A Bola today features an entire page talking about the future of Porto midfielder Otávio, who according to their latest information, is drawing big interest from European clubs.
One of the sides who are said to be willing to sign him in the summer is Liverpool, who’ve already been shopping at the Dragons this season when signing Luis Diaz in January.
It’s said the Reds have Otávio ‘referenced’ for next season, as his characteristics ‘please’ the Anfield side.
Liverpool, however, aren’t alone in the race, as Paris Saint Germain and other Premier League clubs are said to be chasing the Portugal international as well.
A Bola doesn’t say how much Porto are demanding to let Otávio leave in the summer. What they do is to point out that the player is protected by a release clause worth €60m, which was kept in his last contract renewal.
Liverpool’s interest in the 27-year-old isn’t something new, as the rumours about this chase started last summer, when it was even claimed that the Reds had placed a €23m bid for him. Now it seems the chase continues.
