Liverpool are seen as serious competitors by Real Madrid in the race for midfielders Jude Bellingham and Enzo Fernández.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who cover Madrid’s interest in the pair today and their belief they will need to fight off Liverpool for them.
They report that Madrid are ‘well aware’ that the Borussia Dortmund and Benfica stars are ‘on the books’ of big clubs around Europe and they will ‘have to fight hard’ and invest large sums of money if they want to sign them.
That’s because their respective performances at the World Cup have raised their transfer value, with Bellingham now valued around €150m and Fernández around €100m.
That is something which is not putting off the likes of Liverpool, who are ‘looking to remodel their core’ in the coming months.
That’s led them to looking at both Bellingham and Fernández, who have established themselves as stars at their clubs and only added to their reputations with their performances in Qatar.
There is now a ‘fight’ on for their signatures and Liverpool are very much in it, with Real Madrid seeing them as serious competitors they will have to beat if they want to sign both players.
