Explaining back in June, to no one’s surprise, that he was unhappy at Leicester City, Yohan Benalouane still hasn’t found a landing spot elsewhere.

The Tunisia international, who played 49 minutes against Belgium at the World Cup, isn’t in Claude Puel’s plans this season, and is looking for a way out.

According to Foot Mercato in France, one option for the 31-year-old could be Bordeaux in Ligue 1, who are said to have asked about his situation.

The French website state Gustavo Poyet’s club had a few questions for Jon Rudkin about the centre-back, as Bordeaux look to add some depth to their squad before their transfer window shuts on August 31st.

No potential fee is mentioned, but considering how little Benalouane has been used over the past few seasons, our guess is Leicester will be just glad to see the back of him, and there’s no doubt the feeling will be mutual.
