Featuring in rotational role more than anything else last season under Brendan Rodgers, Ayoze Pérez is certainly not in the long-term plans of the Leicester City manager.

That’s why it isn’t surprising to see a story about the Spaniard potentially returning to his home country in the near future.

Despite costing the Foxes £30m back in 2019, the 28-year-old has never managed to fully express himself at King Power Stadium.

There has been talk of him going back to Spain, and now Radio Marca are claiming there is a fair bit of interest in the Leicester striker.

In fact, the player ‘has offers’ from La Liga, where Real Betis, Villarreal and Real Sociedad are all vying for him.

As to what the Leicester man ‘priority’ is at this moment in time? ‘Return to our football’, meaning to Spain, since it’s Radio Marca’s Twitter talking there.

Pérez made 24 appearances for the Foxes last season in all competitions, scoring three goals and picking up five assists.
