When Leeds United fans watch the Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid in a couple of weeks, they might see one of their future players in action.

That’s because according to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Whites are interested in German right-sided player Marius Wolf.

On Twitter, the reporter claims that the 28-year-old could turn into a ‘serious option’ if Leeds secure promotion to the Premier League.

The player operates at either right back or right wing back, so it’s a specific area of squad addition for the club.

Wolf’s contract with Borussia Dortmund is running out this summer, and it’s already known that he’s leaving the Bundesliga side at the end of the season.

Plettenberg claims that Leeds have already made an approach for the player, although it does sound like they’re only trying the signing in case the promotion is confirmed.

The Whites aren’t alone in the race, though, as there are clubs from Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia who want the player as well.

Despite leaving Borussia Dortmund for free, Wolf made 31 appearances for the club this season, having a few minutes in the knock-out games against PSV and Paris Saint Germain.
