Leeds United are continuing to be linked with Cagliari defender Bartosz Salamon. The Poland international is expected to leave the Serie A side this summer, but a move to Leeds United is looking less likely due to recent developments.
Novant Esimo have speculated on the comings and goings at Caligari in the coming weeks, and one player expected to leave the club is Salamon.
The Pole will be looking for somewhere to get more playing time, and Leeds United are one of the clubs still being linked to the player, along with Lugano, Las Palmas, Sion, Leeds, Avellino and Palermo.
However, with the departure of Giuseppe Bellusci from Leeds United earlier this month, a deal for Salamom looks unlikely. It was proposed a few weeks ago there could be a swap deal between Leeds United and Cagliari for the two defenders, which could have appealed to the English club.
Since then Bellusci had his contract terminated, and the 27-year-old is now on the verge of joining Serie B side Palermo as a free agent. With the problem of getting Bellusci out of Leeds United gone, there seems no reason now to pursue Salamon, and there are better options out there.
