Bayern Munich are set to pocket €1.25m every time Marc Roca reaches 25 games for Leeds United.
That’s according to SportBILD, who say Bayern chief Hasan Salihamidzic has guaranteed the German giants extra money on top of the €12m initial deal.
Roca is one of several signings to arrive at Leeds this summer, with Jesse Marsch spending big to replace Kalvin Phillips, who has joined Manchester City.
He managed just 24 appearances in two years in Bavaria, so will be looking to significantly increase that figure with Leeds in the coming years.
And it seems Bayern have guaranteed they will be paid if that is the case, with SportBILD reporting that a clause in the deal guarantees them €1.25m in additional payments once Roca reaches 25 competitive games.
The clause is active ‘no matter which competition’ he plays and only ends when €5m in total has been hit. In other words, Leeds will have to pay Bayern €1.25m for every 25 games Roca plays until they hit €5m.
The Spaniard, therefore, could end up costing more than the €12m they’ve initially paid, but that will be dependent on him playing much more than he managed at the Allianz first.
