Leeds United’s Junior Firpo is one of the targets identified by Real Betis for the left-back position in the summer, according to Estadio Deportivo.
Juan Miranda was the first choice left-back for Manuel Pellegrini last season with Abner Vinícius providing cover. The latter, as per the report, hasn’t been convincing and Miranda has a year left on his contract.
The La Liga side must decide whether to renew Miranda’s deal or look for an alternative in the market. If it’s the latter, the Leeds defender could be an option for his former club.
It’s claimed the 26-year-old has received offers from European clubs after the Whites’ relegation from the Premier League. He has a there contract until 2025, and Junior Firpo’s Leeds teammate, Marc Roca, is also on the Spanish club’s agenda.
ED say Leeds ‘would not be reluctant’ to send the two players out on loan in the summer.
They are aiming to return to the Premier League at the first attempt and sending these players out on loan will help them ensure they ‘do not lose money’.
Last month, the same outlet reported Roca is open to the idea of joining Real Betis in the next window.
