Monday morning was a busy one as far as Tottenham Hotspur news goes.
Harry Kane didn’t arrive at training, and there’s been multiple reports that’s due to his wish to leave the club, whereas the alternative view is the striker is waiting for the results of a Covid-19 PCR test.
Most Spurs claims today obviously refer to that, and also potential replacements for the England captain, however, it would appear there’s good news on the defender front.
Tottenham have been repeatedly linked with a move for Atalanta’s Cristian Romero, with claims of offers being made to the Serie A club.
Now TMW make it sound like the Premier League side are on the verge of reaching an agreement. They say ‘only the last details’ are missing on the deal, which will see Romero move for a €50m flat payment plus a further €7m in bonuses.
Of that €7m, €5m is considered easy, whereas the remaining €2m is related to trophies.
TMW say the player is getting ‘closer and closer’ to Tottenham.
