There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce are showing interest in PSV defender Olivier Boscagli.
In recent months the player has been very strongly linked with a move to Brighton & Hove Albion, following their failed attempts to sign him in the summer.
Sabah have reported on Fenerbahce’s pursuit of the Frenchman, and they say Jose Mourinho wants to sign the 27-year-old.
Following the long-term injury to Jayden Oosterwolde Mourinho is keen to bring in a left-sided defender during the next transfer window and Fenerbahce are looking to offer €10m plus add-ons for Boscagli.
The PSV man can also operate at left back, a position which has become a concern for Fenerbahce since Brighton signed Ferdi Kadıoğlu in the summer.
Brighton have been in the race to sign Boscagli after reports their offer was rejected by PSV during the last window. We covered comments earlier this month in which the player suggested he was unhappy he didn’t get a move to the Premier League side.
Boscagli has made 16 appearances for PSV this season and is contracted to the Dutch side until next summer.
A move to the Premier League and Brighton is likely more attractive than the Super Lig… even with the Jose Mourinho factor.
