Four days ago, we relayed claims from Italy that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have ‘offered €70m’ for Lille’s Victor Osimhen.
There have been other reports suggesting Napoli are also interested in the Nigeria international.
Kalidou Koulibaly’s former agent Bruno Satin, who is also an intermediary, has discussed Spurs and Napoli interest in the forward. He made his claims on Radio Marte, as relayed by Pianet Azzurro.
Satin states the Ligue 1 side will not consider selling the 21-year-old for less than €50m and Lille’s demands are deemed ‘too high’ for Gennaro Gattuso’s side.
With regards to the north London club, Satin states: “Important British clubs like Tottenham follow him. They know him very well.”
José Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham in November and the Portuguese tactician added Joao Sacramento and Nuno Santos to his backroom staff.
The latter two arrived from Lille and it’s because of them that the English club know about the player ‘very well’.
Osimhen’s chances of joining Mourinho’s side look slim if Harry Kane is still at the club. This is according to his agent.
“We told Mourinho that if he wants Victor, will Harry Kane be leaving? If Harry Kane is still playing for Tottenham will Victor play? Because he will always be benched for him,” Osimhen’s agent Ariyo Igbayilola told TheCable.
“Kane is their number one striker and he is the captain of England; all this will always work for him in the club but at Victor’s detriment.
“He [Osimhen] needs a club where he will always play full games week in, week out. Not to be kept on the bench.”
