West Bromwich Albion have joined other European clubs in chasing Argentine forward Adolfo Gaich, according to TyC Sports.

The 21-year-old came up through the ranks of San Lorenzo before being promoted to their first team in 2018. This season, he has five goals in 12 league appearances.

He came close to joining Club Brugge in the last window, but the deal collapsed at an advanced stage.

It’s claimed there have been several surveys for the Argentina international and this includes an alleged interest from Barcelona.

In addition to this, West Brom, Inter Milan, Atalanta and Gent have ‘already asked’ about the attacker, who has a $15m (€13.5m) release clause. West Brom are the only club from a second division to ask about the South American.

With several clubs circling around Gaich, San Lorenzo are aware their chances of holding on to him for a long time are slim.

Meanwhile, the player has given an interview to the Argentina FA official website and insisted he will not focus on the reports around his future, unless there’s a ‘genuine interest’.

“The rumours about offers from European clubs never affected my level of football, because I know that most are just rumours,” Gaich said.
