Ian Poveda is being strongly linked with a move to Leeds United, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting Victor Orta is in talks with Manchester City for the 19 year old.
Over in Italy, they’ve been covering Torino interest, which could be a problem for the Championship club.
Tuttosport, a Turin based newspaper, say Poveda was in the stands on Sunday to watch Torino against Bologna. They don’t think he saw a great spectacle, despite Torino winning the match 1-0.
Given his contract with Manchester City expires in the summer, and there’s been no agreement on a renewal, the youngster is said to be attracting interest from various clubs, with Torino being one of them.
As far as Tuttosport are informed, Poveda was expected to stay in Turin today, again accompanied by his agents.
This sounds like competition for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and perhaps Poveda wants to hear what Torino are offering before finalising a move to Leeds United.
