Everton star Richarlison has been interviewed by Brazilian website Premier League Brazil this week.

The player had a relaxed chat talking about his school days, the move to Everton and the start of his national team career.

“Wherever I go to, I get on very well. Because with me there’s no getting to a place and complaining about things. So I come here, I feel like I’m in Brazil,” Richarlison told Premier League Brasil.

“So that makes it easy for me on the pitch, my teammates also help me a lot, there’s Bernard, there’s Mina, and that makes it easier for me.”

On his arrival to the Toffees, he said: “I was very happy. The fans here welcomed me very well. I already have a song.”

But when asked if he understands the local accent, things are not so easy: “For me, it’s all difficult (laughs). This English is hard to get into my head.”

On what made him join Everton, Richarlison has made it pretty clear the manager had a big part in it: “Oh, Marco Silva. Marco Silva was pretty much the guy who brought me here to England, he was the guy who called me directly on the phone just like Tite did.”

And when talking about the biggest memory he has from the national team, Richarlison told a nice story about the 2014 World Cup.

“I remember until today that in the 2014 World Cup I was watching and there was a Brazilian there cheering against Brazil. And when Brazil were thrashed by Germany, I went to my room, I started to cry there, because I wanted Brazil to be champion. And the guy was abusing me still, I just did not beat him because he was stronger than me (laughs).”

“But it was something I remember until today, this will be forever in my memory. And the guy who abused as well. But now I’m in the national team, I’m going to do my best to win the title and say: I want to see you laughing now.”
