Still recovering from an injury and unable to make his season debut for Tottenham just yet, no one quite knows how Bryan Gil will fit in Ange Postecoglou’s plans.

The manager has hinted he will use him on either side once he returns, but considering what has happened in the past at Spurs when it comes to the young Spaniard, no one will be holding their breath.

There is one side that will always welcome the Tottenham forward, and that’s his former club Sevilla, where Erik Lamela, once a player for the London club himself, would welcome him with open arms, as he explained to Estadio Deportivo.

The Argentine winger gave an extensive interview to the Spanish outlet, where he discussed various aspects of his career, and that includes potentially reuniting with Gil.

He said, of a return of the Tottenham player to Sevilla: “I would love it, for the person he is. He’s a great teammate, we get on great.”

For that to happen, another loan would likely need to take place, as Sevilla aren’t exactly in a financial position to buy Gil from Tottenham.

As for Pamela, who spent eight years at Spurs before going on a free to the La Liga side in 2021, he remains a key part of the Spanish side’s squad, playing in every game this season to date, even if his last appearance was a simple five minute cameo against Las Palmas.
