Between July 2018 and the end of December 2019, West Ham were managed by Manuel Pellegrini.
The Chilean had been appointed to try and turn the club back into a successful top half Premier League team, which he achieved in some way in his first season, but was unable to replicate it this year, sacked and eventually replaced by David Moyes after 64 games.
During that time, he was assisted by Enzo Maresca, who had previously worked at FC Sevilla under both Vincenzo Montella and Joaquín Caparrós, who left London Stadium at the same time and now finds himself without a club.
The former West Ham assistant manager now has some spare time on his hands, during which he decided to give an interview to TuttoJuve, who asked him about his time with the Hammers.
He said: “It was a beautiful experience, especially working below a great manager like Pellegrini. I had the chance to learn and grow. The Premier League, at this moment, is superior to our football in so many aspects and points of views”.
During their time at West Ham, Manuel Pellegrini and Maresca managed to oversee 24 wins, 11 draws and 29 defeats, during which the team scored 91 goals and conceded 99.
