According to NtvSpor, Everton are even closer to signing Beskitas forward Cenk Tosun after the Premier League side increased their offer for the player.
The Turkey international has been linked with Everton in recent months, and in the past few days the Toffees have stepped up their pursuit of the attacker.
The Turkish media outlet have claimed in the past hour Everton have increased their offer to €25m for Tosun, after their initial bid of €17m. Some Turkish newspapers reported Everton had offered €20m.
It’s been reported Tosun will now travel to Liverpool to have a medical ahead of his proposed move to Everton, and that the Beskitas star will sign a four and a half year contract with the Merseyside club.
Ntvspor say this will be a ‘historical transfer’, as it will smash the record transfer fee for a player being signed from the Turkish league.
Cengiz Under previously held this record when he was transferred to AS Roma last summer for €15m.
