With only three days to the end of the transfer window, it really looks like Felipe Anderson will end up staying where he is.
Due to a poor start of season for Porto, the West Ham loanee got linked to an early departure this month, as the Hammers would relocate him to a place where he’d get more minutes.
However, things had a slight change in the past few weeks. Not only because the rumours disappeared, but mostly due to a couple of new chances he got at the Dragons.
That’s why the Portuguese press is back on being excited with his future at Porto, and today, newspaper A Bola features an interview with someone who’s confident of his success.
The outlet had a chat with Paços de Ferreira goalkeeper Jordi, who was Felipe Anderson’s teammate at Brazil’s youth ranks, and now claims the West Ham player will still do well in Portugal.
“He’s very ambitious, he has a story that speaks for itself and arrived as a great signing. I believe there’s still time to fit in perfectly, bring happiness to the club and have great moments.”
“We know that it’s always very difficult to leave one country for another. They are European leagues but with differences between them, the style of play in Portugal is different from the English.
“Some feel these changes more, others less. In football anything can happen, it’s always a matter of time. I look at him and see him assert himself and soon we’ll see Felipe with a sequence of games of the highest level.”
Felipe Anderson is loaned to Porto until the end of the season, and his contract with West Ham expires in 2022.
