Following the end of his loan spell at Nottingham Forest and a new move to Sevilla, Loic Bade has spoken about the situation he went through this season.

The defender wasn’t able to make a single appearance for the Reds, so his parent club Rennes chose to move him out again, this time to the La Liga side.

Bade already made his debut for Sevilla, taking part in the game against Getafe at the weekend. Now as he gave a press conference to the local media, he had a little to talk about what happened to him at Nottingham Forest.

“Playing again and being on the field is something magnificent. I’m very happy. It is true that I had not played for a long time,” said Loic Bade (via Mucho Deporte).

“What happened in England is complicated for me. It just didn’t count for the coach. I learned a lot and kept working because the mentality there is very different. It’s true that I did not play but I did learn a lot. I didn’t play because the coach preferred other players to play. Now it’s not a revenge. What I want is to play, to do it well. I really want to play a lot of games and win.”

It was in the summer of 2022 that Rennes loaned Bade to Nottingham Forest. He not only didn’t make his debut for the Reds, but was actually only taken to the bench once, in a match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in October.

That was a very good reason for the clubs to agree to cut short the loan spell and find him a new destination. Now at Sevilla, he could even be bought in case the purchase option is triggered.
