Over the weekend Don Balon came up with a Manchester City transfer claim that was outlandish even for them.
According to the Spanish website, Florentino Perez has identified Phil Foden as the long term successor for Toni Kroos and contacts have already been been initiated to convince the Manchester City youngster.
In terms of transfer nonsense, we applaud them for their creativity.
With that in mind, here comes their latest Manchester City claim: Pep Guardiola has decided he’s not so keen on Isco any longer and would instead rather like to sign Marco Asensio.
Guardiola ‘changes plans’, say Don Balon, and Asensio is now on his ‘list of priorities’ for the summer transfer window.
The Manchester City manager is said to have convinced himself that Real Madrid need transfer funds for their revolution this summer, and would therefore consider selling Asensio.
That’s not how they see it in Spain, with the player said to be one of only a few Perez wouldn’t consider letting go… whatever the offer.
