Union Berlin coach Jens Keller has told the German media he expects to be with the Bundesliga 2 side next season. Keller has been linked with Norwich City in the English press over the weekend, and has been cornered to comment.
Speaking to Bild, Keller was asked about speculation he would be heading to England this summer to manager Norwich City.
The German coach confirmed he’s seen these rumours in the newspapers, but also informed Bild he would be returning to Union Berlin for pre-season training in June.
“I’ve read about it in the newspaper,” said Keller, before being asked if he’ll be back at Union Berlin on June 24th.
“That’s what I’m going to do,” said Keller on his future.
Yesterday we covered reports from Germany with regards to Keller being linked with Norwich City after speculation started in England. It was reported in the Berlin media that Keller is happy to remain at Union because he has plans to get the club into the top flight next season.
With his comments today it seems unlikely he will be taking the Norwich City job, and the Championship side will have to look other options.
