Galatasaray have issued an ultimatum to Bruma after the youngster turned down another contract offer from the Turkish giants. The Portuguese winger has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur in recent months following claims they tabled a bid for the 22-year-old.

SporX have claimed Galatasaray have offered Bruma a new improved deal, which is said to be worth €2.5m per year, but Bruma has turned this down. The youngster wants to become one of the highest paid players at Galatasaray, and ultimately the club have informed the player to agree to their offer or leave.

During the transfer window we covered reports from Turkey that Tottenham had offered €15m for Bruma, which was turned down by his club. However, as his contract talks continue to drag on, Bruma’s valuation is decreasing, which makes €15m look increasingly tempting.

It’s been claimed Napoli are also taking an interest in Bruma, and that the Serie A side are prepared to offer as little as €8m, which is nearly half of what Tottenham reportedly put on the table. The youngster’s contract will expire in a year, meaning Galatasaray are under pressure to either tie him down or sell him this summer.

This gives the likes of Tottenham an opportunity to come in for Bruma in the next window, but any bid form the North London side is likely to be lower than the €15m they initially offered.

Mauricio Pochettino is repeatedly linked with wingers for Tottenham, and has tried more than once to bring the ideal man in. Erik Lamela’s fitness situation, and recent operation, will concentrate Pochettino’s mind more on the need to add in the position.

Whilst previous Tottenham links to Bruma may have been overblown by the excitable Turkish media, if there was interest previously then it would be no surprise if that’s growing right now.
