Not only have Sevilla now informed Sandro of their wish to buy him in the summer, and therefore pay the player’s €6m release clause at Malaga, but they’ve also reached ‘full agreement’ with the player’s representative.
Despite the confidence in Sevilla, it’s not time for Koeman and Everton to give up the Sandro chase, should they be seriously interested. It’s not unusual for outline agreements to be made with several clubs, before the player and his agent then sit down and pick the best route for the future.
Everton can easily compete with Sevilla on wages, and if Koeman is insistent, the Premier League club will most likely also beat them by some way.
What goes against Everton is Sandro may have a desire to remain in Spain ahead of the World Cup, and try and maximise his outside chances of involvement.
