Already trying to buy him back in January, it appears that Fulham are on the verge of signing Aboubakar Kamara from Amiens in France.

At least, this is what FootMercato are reporting on Thursday afternoon on their live transfer blog.

The French website, using their own information, explain the player will leave the newly promoted Ligue 1 side and join Slavisa Jokanovic at Craven Cottage in the Championship.

Earlier this year, it seemed like the 22-year-old would be joining on transfer deadline day of the January window, but the Cottagers never managed to agree with the striker’s agent, causing the move to collapse.

On Wednesday, Amiens’ president told Le Courrier Picard in France that ‘Fulham’s offer wasn’t large enough’ to convince them to sell their star striker, and it seems Foot Mercato are all but confirming the Championship side have done just that.

Scoring 11 goals in 29 Ligue 2 appearances last season, as well as picking up two assists, it seems Jokanovic is close to getting the striker he has been so desperately looking for.
