Fulham, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are in the race for Beşiktaş’ Gedson Fernandes, according to Fanatik.

The Turkish club took the midfielder from Benfica for €6m at the start of last year and loaned him out to Çaykur Rizespor for the second half of last season. Since returning to Beşiktaş, he’s become one of the ‘indispensable’ names in their starting lineup this season.

This has helped the 24-year-old become ‘one of the favourites’ in the transfer market, where the likes of Fulham, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are in the mix for him.

It’s said there are five clubs chasing to secure the player’s services. From England, Marco Silva’s side, the Villans and Palace are all ‘interested’ in signing him. The Premier League trio are joined by Lazio and AS Roma.

Fernandes, who spent a spell on loan at Tottenham Hotspur between 2020 and 2021, has a contract lasting until 2026.

After being on the radar of the previously mentioned clubs, Beşiktaş’ leaders have set a €13m price tag on the midfielder. In addition to this, the Istanbul club want a percentage [15%] of the fee from his future sale.

It remains to be seen if one of Fulham, Aston Villa or Crystal Palace are willing to meet Beşiktaş’ demands to sign Fernandes.
