On Wednesday, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported Everton have made an offer to sign AS Roma’s Edoardo Bove.
Il Messaggero, relayed by Voce Giallo Rossa, say the 22-year-old can move to the Premier League, where Everton are interested in securing his services.
Roma director Florent Ghisolfi aims to raise funds through selling some of the players in the summer window, and Bove could ‘represent a concrete option’ for the Giallorossi to improve their finances.
Bove could enjoy more game time if he were to move to England, where Everton are keen on acquiring his signature this summer. AFC Bournemouth have also been credited with an interest in the player.
The Friedkin Group, who own the Italian club, are said to be in contention to take charge of the Merseyside club.
Taking this into account, the report suggests Roma can evaluate selling Bove to Sean Dyche’s side over the Cherries. This could help the Toffees to strike a quick deal with Roma, who are requesting €18-20m to sell Bove.
