This transfer window hasn’t been particularly good for French defenders in the Premier League.
According to L’Equipe on Wednesday, Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma isn’t in the plans of Antonio Conte, and could be leaving the club on loan.
The 21-year-old has recovered from a cruciate ligament injury, but it seems a loan move away from Chelsea might be the best way to revive his career and regain his fitness.
L’Equipe don’t mention any interested clubs or offers, but Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio earlier claimed Bundesliga side Schalke are interested in signing him on loan with an option to buy.
Zouma started off his career quite well at Chelsea, and it’d be a surprise if Chelsea don’t see a long term future for him at the club.
