Wednesday evening was a very good one for Barcelona.
Having picked up a 0-0 draw in France in the first leg of their Champions League tie against Lyon, Barcelona won 5-1 at the Camp Nou.
Whilst the Ligue 1 side may have complaints about the penalty awarded for a foul on Luis Suarez, which Lionel Messi converted so well, they can hardly suggest that Barcelona weren’t by far the superior team.
One of the players on the scoresheet was Ousmane Dembele, with his 13th goal of the current season. He came on for the final twenty minutes, but as well as scoring a goal it appears he’s also picked up an injury.
Sport say there’s ‘alarm’ around the player’s medical status.
The Catalan newspaper explain that medical tests are currently ongoing after he seemed to pick up a muscle injury, and they say ‘The forecasts are not good’. It’s believed he may have suffered a tear in the thigh of his right leg, which sounds like a hamstring issue.
Until the full medical report is released things won’t be completely clear, but there’s certainly worry in Barcelona.
