Earlier on Monday, we covered the latest from Turkey surrounding Arsenal’s interest in Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey, with it said they had fallen behind Brighton in the race.

That’s because their Premier League rivals had offered more than them, but that also doesn’t mean the Gunners are out of the race.

Either way, the player himself is quite happy with all the attention he has been getting from other clubs, as he made it clear to So Foot in an interview over the weekend.

Having to pull out from the France squad for the U21 Euros because of a new injury, the right back is currently very frustrated.

However, what is cheering him up is the interest from Arsenal, which he was directly asked about by the French outlet.

He said: “I’m a Galatasaray player, but I have much bigger ambitions. I think they’ll understand me and will respect this because I’ve never cheated. You only have one career, you need to go all out. Arsenal’s interest is very flattering. The Premier League is the league I’m aiming for. We’ll therefore see what will happen.”

It’s clear that Boey would gladly accept a move to Arsenal if it presented itself, and there’s no denying the Gunners could do with someone like him.

After all, there’s only so many times you can play Thomas Partey or Ben White at right-back.
