Fanatik report Turkish club Trabzonspor are in final talks to sign Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny.
The Egyptian midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Trabzonspor in recent weeks after he completed the season at fellow Super Lig club Besiktas.
According to Fanatik, talks with both Elneny and Arsenal are currently at an advanced stage, and Trabzonspor are ready to offer €1.5m a season to the 28 year old.
It’s reported their new manager Eddie Newton has given the green light to the club’s board to sign Elneny, and that Besiktas now look to be out of the picture to re-sign him.
Stoke City loanee Badou Ndiaye won’t be staying with the Super Lig club and Elneny would be his replacement.
The former Basel midfielder made 36 appearances for Besiktas last season, scoring one goal. His contract with Arsenal will expire at the end of June 2022, but it’s likely he’ll be leaving the Gunners way before that.
