During and after the game against Manchester United, Tottenham’s Antonio Conte made it clear he wasn’t happy with how the 90 minutes had gone.

Despite their good form in the Premier League and a recent win in the Champions League, Spurs were completely dominated by Erik ten Hag’s side, who eventually won 2-0.

It could have been more if Hugo Lloris hadn’t made some good saves, primarily to stop Marcus Rashford, and Conte was seen on the touchline shouting instructions to, and even insulting, some of his players.

A remark aimed at Rodrigo Bentancur, which we won’t repeat here, didn’t go unnoticed, and Calciomercato explain that while the manager ‘has always been fiery’, his dig ‘caused quite a stir’.

The feeling is that ‘the frustration of still not being in top form is evident’, all this coming amid rumours about an early exit with his contract expiring at the end of the season, even if Tottenham have an option to extend that by a year.

Tottenham might be third in the league and top of their Champions League group, ‘there are many problems to solve’, among which is the task of gelling all the new signings into the squad.

There’s no reason to panic just yet, but with a lot of the Italian media hoping for him to make a return at Juventus, they will use anything they can get to build a narrative for a great Conte comeback.
