As you might have heard, there is a third club now reportedly interested in Romelu Lukaku, and that’s Juventus.
The Belgian appears intent on going to Inter Milan, but the belief is that his desire to leave Chelsea is so strong that he could be convinced to move to Turin.
This is essentially what Corriere dello Sport report on Monday, claiming that when it comes to the Blues flop, ‘everything is possible, especially the unthinkable’.
They state that the key in all of this is Dusan Vlahovic, as his sale would open the way and give Juventus the funds to strike a potential deal with Chelsea for the striker.
It does help that the Stamford Bridge side so happen to be interested in the Serbian, but they aren’t the only ones, with other clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, also mentioned.
The Belgium international is now said to have the ‘ideal characteristics’ of the type of striker Max Allegri wants in Turin, and despite all this fronting of wanting Inter, it’s recalled that the forward dis also capable of ‘sudden and unsettling infidelities’.
There are some at Juventus who are ‘convinced they can achieve the coup of the summer’ by snatching the Chelsea man from under their rivals’ nose; a move that would make new director of football Cristiano Giuntoli an immediate favourite with the fans after arriving from Napoli.
Something to keep an eye on.
