Everton are one of the ‘main contenders’ for Juventus defender Merih Demiral but face competition from Tottenham for his signature.
That’s according to TuttoJuve, who say the centre-back is ‘arousing great interest’ in Europe this summer.
They explain that Demiral has endured a ‘season full of shadows’ because of continuous injuries limiting his chances to get on the pitch regularly and build up form.
Despite that, the young defender is still arousing interesting around Europe with several ‘Big Europeans’ all ‘carefully observing’ his situation.
Everton are among them, which is nothing new given earlier this week we saw reports that they have decided to go big to try and secure his signature.
Tottenham are also keen and believed to be among the ‘main contenders’ for his signature should Juventus sanction a sale this summer.
Again, this is nothing new, with them having been regularly named as suitors in the last few months and last year as well.
So far, neither Everton nor Tottenham have made ‘official offers’, but the interest is clearly growing, and that could change come the summer.
